We arrived here whilst a storm was hitting Christchurch and this property lifted our moods and relaxed us. It might be more expensive than the average hotel in Christchurch but is more than worth the extra cost.

We were staying in another Christchurch hotel which was about a 15 minute walk away. The Mayfair is a little off from the CBD but walkable. Because it was my birthday, I believe our room was upgraded and we were quite happy with all aspects of the suite, from all goodies to bathrobes to a motion sensor nightlight on the way to the bathroom.

Easy parking, close to the town centre (quick drive or short walk). Would stay again!

Shuttle picked us up at the airport. Staff was so friendly. Loved our stay there. It was only one night and was very convenient to our campervan rental the next day.
