This hotel is a real gem. It is in an amazing location on the edge of the medina that is still accessible by a car but already on pedestrian zone. From here,it is a short walk to the creek, main shopping streets and the main square. You can also go up the mosque for a beautiful view and the path is right by the hotel. The view from the terrace for sunsets is unbelievable. The staff is kind, professional and helpful. Breakfast is very filling and with healthy choices. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager is super kind and really takes guest comfort seriously. We got upgraded to a higher level room due to some noisy guests. We did not even ask:). After 1 month of travelling in Morocco, this was top notch experience. Highly recommended and if it is in your budget, splurge on the 3rd floor suite that has direct access to terrace and corner views onto the medina and city. If I knew how comfortable and spectacular it is, I would have booked it right away!

Dar Mdaqa is a beautiful private blue house with a private spacious terrace that offers a panoramic view of the city. The attention to detail in the design of the house is impressive, and the overall ambience is cosy and welcoming. Our host was very friendly and helpful. He made sure everything was good on our end. Stairs from one of the iconic blue lanes of Chefchaouen leading to the first floor, which is the living room with 2 single beds and a bedroom with a double bed and a small kitchen with toilet. On the upper floor, there is a shower and terrace. If you're looking for a beautiful retreat in the heart of the city, Dar Mdaqa is definitely worth checking out. We enjoyed it very much.

Great, beautiful house. Very traditional, with good look and vibe. Good bed. Everything clean and well prepared. Fantastic breakfast! The best we had. Nice terrace on the roof with many plants and view. Very helpfull and kind owner. Definitely recommend this place! :)

Everything. Best place to stay in this town. Wonderful room in a historic property within a short walking distance to all the prime sights. It is run by very good people.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment just outside the medina. The location is perfect — close enough to walk to the old city, but quiet and peaceful at night. The apartment itself is fully equipped, cosy, and spotlessly clean. The big terrace is a real highlight — great for relaxing or having breakfast outdoors. Anas, the manager, was fantastic — always quick to respond and incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would love to come back!

Very close to the bus station, 20 min walk from Chefchauen’s main area. We had luggage and preferred to stay close the bus station and it was a good decision. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable.
