After changing our plans and coming to Udawalawe a night earlier than planned (and in need of some luxury), this place was exactly what we needed. The hosts were so friendly, the buffet dinner was delicious and great value and the swimming pool was amazing. They organise safari for us with easy and served breakfast on return. The rooms were well sized and comfy. Would 100% Recommend!

My stay in this house felt like a dream. The entrance to the room is surrounded by greenery, giving the impression of being in the middle of the jungle. We also had a safari organized with them, led by a young and capable guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast in the national park was not only very pleasant but also delicious. Dinner, however, was not satisfying compared to other meals we had in Sri Lanka — the portion of chicken was very small, and overall the food felt a bit lacking.

Such a lovely hotel, everything is even more beautifull in real life than in the pictures. Everything was very clean. And the surroundings are also stunning. The hotel is very close to the Kudawa entrance of the rainforest, where you can hire an official guide for 2500 LKR (entrance is 1250 LKR pp). The overall experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. This was fantastic accommodation. Run by Anju and his family. The photos don’t do it justice - it’s way nicer, more modern. The bed is comfortable, I loved the shower with skyview and the net in front of the cottage to relax. We also took the safari day trip arranged by Anju with safari guide Patum and it was just perfect. We got a lovely breakfast inside the park and in the afternoon also lunch. During the tour there was always cold water and we got coconut to drink. And we saw plenty of elephants, buffalos, lizzards, deers, two kinds of monkeys, birds and much more! In the end, Anju arranged taxi driver to our next destination. Totally recommended!!
