Situated in Tanamalwila, 34 km from Udawalawe National Park and 26 km from Tissa Wewa, Thanamal-villa features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with a barbecue.

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchenette and a shared bathroom with bidet. My favourite days in Sri Lanka. Peace, nature and a generous and warm host. The safari Prasad arranged was perfect - lots of elephants, a beautiful lotus lake, black- faced monkeys, lots of birds and only 3 other jeeps in the 4.5 hours. The rooms are clean, with a hammock next to a little stream, iguanas, peacocks, monkeys and eagles in the garden. Prasad's mum's coconut rotis are the best I had in my 3 weeks and the room and safari were great value. Thanamalwila has few tourists so unspoilt and the family will help with everything from bus bookings, travel advice to taking me to see a friends farm to see crops growing. The buses from Ella and Galle stop directly outside the homestay so it's really easy to get to. The safari is in Blocks 5 and 6 of Yala. If you want a peaceful safari then I highly recommend Prasad's place.

It is located 26 km from Ella Rock and offers a housekeeping service. The guest house features family rooms. We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Very professionnal staff. It seems there was a problem ,ith our booking so we got upgraded to a family room (instead of the budget triple room we booked). The room was so perfect : huge and high ceiling, nice beds, beautiful wooden furnitures. Big window so you can enjoy the garden with a lot of light (early morning also !! Cause the curtain are nice but not lifht proof!). The bathroom is perfectly clean, big, hot water. The food is good but expensive, if you are used to the normal srilanka price, ask before dinner to check if it's ok for you.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

The owner is very friendly.The hotel is next to the national park.You can see many animals there.The dishes are also very delicious.They also organize Safari trips.Although we didn't see leopard, we also saw other animals.I highly recommend everyone to live here.

The place is simple, clean and ideal for that 2 -3 nights stay close to the Yala National Park.. There is no hot water, but the weather was so hot that we won't need that.
