Our favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka, and probably one of the best accommodations in Mirissa. Everything was amazing, the staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was sensational, and the pool is a real winner. The location is great, as it is off the main road so a bit quieter, but still close enough (especially if you rent a scooter, which the hotel can also arrange). We thought the price was very reasonable for what we got.

We found it to be a great base for exploring hiritekiya and loved the pool!

Guests staying at this villa have access to a balcony. The indoor pool features a water slide and fence. Beautiful little villas located on a hill above Hiriketiya. Very close to the beach and many restaurants, however is peaceful and quiet at the same time. Comfortable bed, loved the open roof shower, especially with the light rain! Highly recommend.

Great homestay a short walk out of the main town of Hiriketiya. Delicious breakfast with heaps of variety each day! The host family were so kind and lovely. Always smiling and happy to help with anything! Comfy beds, good a/c and good wifi!

Also there will be an italian restaurant opening at the hotel which is for sure going to be excellent, can’t wait to try next time.

700 metres from Hiriketiya Beach, Painkiller Hiriketiya is a recently renovated property located in Dickwella and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and parking on-site. I had the absolute best time in Hiriketiya thanks to Charitha and his family! I was supposed to stay for 5 days, but I ended up extending to 3 weeks — and honestly, I would’ve stayed even longer if I could have. Charitha goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. He often organizes meals, snacks, and drinks (his wife is an amazing cook!). He’s super responsive on WhatsApp if you have any questions or concerns, and he’s always genuinely happy to help. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and a true example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The facilities themselves were excellent — I have no complaints at all. The location is also perfect: surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and boutiques, and just a couple of minutes from the beach. I would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and book your next stay with them!

The property is around 23 km from Galle Fort, 23 km from Dutch Church Galle and 24 km from Galle Light house. Japanese Peace Pagoda is 21 km away and Galle Fort National Museum is 23 km from the hostel. Had a really nice stay at Drifter. Booked the wrong dorm but the staff shifted some things and made it happen. Really good food and coffee in their restaurant. Super spacious chill area as well and the crowd was amazing. Sad I had to leave already. Will come back !!!!
