Overall, we had a great stay at Atha Resort. Highly recommended!

Really got the jungle experience also. The nice homestay is surrounded by thick bush and trees. Easy access. Good roads. Was greeted immediately with cold juice. Room was better than expected. Large comfy bed with clean sheets and clean bathroom. AC and fan was great. Nice mosquito net above bed but no mosquitos. Break fast was large delicious simply amazing. Host was helpful and clearly takes good pride in his homestay. Host also offers taxi and tour services, I wish i had known prior hand as his prices for taxi from negembo and than to Kandy were so much more cheaper. Well Worth the money.

The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they gave us advice on where to eat/drink and arranged transportation at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent, you cannot eat it all. We were served fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, then omelette and next pancakes/local specialty halaba. Also, if you go up the road leading to the hotel you’ll see the fields and a nice lake, perfect location when you’d like to get a break from the tourist crowds

The location couldn’t be better — just a few minutes away from both Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala, and also very close to the main town, restaurants, and shops. It’s convenient yet peaceful, surrounded by greenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with an aesthetic touch that made it feel warm and homely. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, a perfect start to the day before exploring. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed. The owner, Isu, went above and beyond — he arranged a village tour and a Kaudulla safari for me, both of which were incredible experiences that gave me a real taste of local life and nature. The entire hostel has such a good, positive vibe — it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I had such a great time here and will definitely visit again on my next trip to Sigiriya. Highly recommended to anyone looking for comfort, great location, and genuine hospitality!
