It’s just a short walk to the beach, and if you stroll a little to the left, you’ll find a lovely stretch of beach that’s very safe for swimming. From the shore, you can also arrange boat rides along the Bentota River—an unforgettable experience. The owner, Samira, is incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding area and is always willing to help. He even took us around for a very reasonable price and arranged a massage at the villa for us at a good rate. Breakfast was excellent with generous portions, and on a particularly hot day, he kindly brought fresh fruit juice without us even asking. The villa itself is beautifully done in an antique style, with hot water, air conditioning, and all the comfort you need. I stayed for three days, and it was absolutely perfect. In the mornings, plenty of birds visit the garden, making the stay even more special.

I loved this small personal hotel. It has 4 bedrooms and it was just perfect. A cute pool that was big enough to keep cool, but you could also swim even if not an Olympic size..The staff are so friendly and if you wish will address you by name. I loved the fresh baked fruit bread at breakfast, my personal choice of a yummy option. Made by Susan in house. The beach is right outside the second area of the property. Local to other places to visit and eat if you are out for the day. It's such a lovely place to stay, I will be returning on my next visit.

Even though Sri Lanka faced some bad weather recently, the southern region was very safe and less affected including this villa. So, future guests don’t have anything to worry about. Everything is completely normal here. The villa itself is extremely comfortable, peaceful, and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind, caring, and always ready to help. I truly appreciate their warm hospitality throughout my stay. The food was amazing fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. I also did an Ayurveda treatment, which was relaxing and professionally done. It added so much value to my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Bentota. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special!

Comfortable guesthouse with spacious and renovated family rooms, great for an extended stay. It is 5min away from Cinnamon Bey beach. The staff extremely nice and helpful. The owner attends to his guests himself to make sure that our stay is great and exceeds expectations. They organized a cute setup for our friend whose birthday happened to be during our stay, they allowed us to check out later free of charge, and even arranged for a homemade lunch at the guesthouse itself, on the pergola, which was great. Highly recommended!

A nice accommodation, there a space with an eating area; the bedroom is seperate and has a very confortable bed. It's perfectly clean and new. The owners are super kind and helpful. Good location ! The villa itself is breathtaking — glass walls all around, giving the feeling of being in a treehouse suspended in the mist. Sunrise feels magical. The food was exceptional — fresh, natural, and made with love. We mostly chose the local dishes — kiribath served with caramelized onion, homemade salmon(red curry), laveriya, herbal porridge and fresh fruits. Their western cuisine was equally wonderful. No added sugar or artificial flavors and the beautiful presentation made every meal memorable. Mouthwatering lunch wrapped in banana leaves and evening tea with helapa added that special Sri Lankan warmth. The villa was spotless — truly the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. The owner’s hospitality was beyond comparison, making us feel like family. My daughter loved the short forest hike nearby, and the peaceful surroundings made it so hard to leave. Manarala Villa is pure serenity — a 7-star escape where nature, comfort, and care blend perfectly. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

Sarah and Rosi gave us the impression that we were staying at a family home rather than a guesthouse as soon as we arrived. Both of them are incredibly kind, welcoming, and sincerely helpful they are always smiling and have excellent local advice. The beach, which has good waves for surfing and clear water for swimming, is only a short stroll away, making the location ideal. After long days in the sun, the clean, comfortable rooms and beds were just what we needed. Sunny Villa made us feel welcome in every way. You come here as a visitor and go away feeling like a member of the family. Our stay was better than we could have imagined. Highly recommend!
