The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the delicious homemade Jaffna-style food—especially the crab curry served with pittu. It was an unforgettable culinary experience! Our favorite part of the trip was exploring the island. We loved seeing the majestic horses roaming freely and visiting the many fascinating historical sites. The serene and beautiful beach added the perfect touch to our getaway. Delft Village Stay is a hidden gem, offering a unique mix of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Thambu illam was one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka! I felt at home and comfortable. The staff were amazing including the night time security, Joseph, who kept us company and shared his story while we stayed up past midnight. Mathu the manager checked in with us when we didn’t arrive on time for our booking and he responded quickly to messages. The supervisor was exceptionally helpful and got us almost anything we requested for our meals. Thambu illam brings you a feeling of being in your ancestral home and the little details they paid attention makes it even magical. We will definitely come back here to stay with our family on our next trip.

Perfect location just a few minutes from Jaffna town. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The staff were very welcoming and made my stay pleasant. They also served a delicious Jaffna-style breakfast. The manager personally picked me up from the railway station early in the morning and arranged an early check-in, which I really appreciated. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place!

We ended up staying here for a week because it was such a wonderful place to relax. The location is excellent for exploring the local area which is very beautiful and a welcome change of pace to the south of the island. We have been in Sri Lanka for 3 months and this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed at. We got regular messages from the host Kam checking everything was ok and if we needed anything. If your looking at exploring the Jaffna peninsula, I would highly recommend staying here.

They communicated well even before arrival and made sure there is no waiting for key collection, everything went smooth in a timely manner. It was such a peaceful stay after my rushed island tour. The garden and overall environment were wonderfully calm and quiet, allowing me to unwind completely and elevating my entire holiday experience. The Chapters was impeccably clean, and the staff were exceptionally accommodating.
