The property was located in the city centre, the entry to the building and the building itself looked safe. The flat was clean, the bed was very comfortable, we were able to cook very well thanks to the equipped kitchen. Just consider, that the flat doesn’t have AC (fan available) and is a bit loud because of the very central position. Our host was super responsive, answered all our questions immediately, helped us arrange a safari quickly and efficiently (for a fair price). We would stay there again.

I loved being able to see the stars at night and wake up to the sun rising and seeing it all from the bubble! There is an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen (make sure to bring food as there are not big shops nearby). They have mango trees around and the family is incredibly nice. If you want to experience the local area but with comfort and unique site, go here! Also, I did a very cool hike around the area, with local guides.

Despite checking in late, Jane patiently waited for us, and her communication was excellent throughout our stay. Additionally, they recommended an excellent local tour company, Msherembe Safari and Travels, for a half-day trip costing only 13,000 KSH. We also had Mtalaki, a local taxi driver, who was kind enough to pick us up, drop us off, and wait while we bought groceries. I would definitely stay at Illala again on my next trip to Tsavo East National Park, which is just a 4-minute drive from Illala to the main gate.

We just loved our stay, the place is in the middle of nature, you can listen to the sounds of tons of birds and insects around you. If you love nature, this is your place. On the top of it, the staff was amazing with us Felista and Victor were great. They find a solution for everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Tsavo. They booked taxis to pick us up in the Voi train station and they booked a safari in Tsavo West for us for a fair price. Thank to all the staff, they made of our Tsavo visit a magic memory.

The furniture and facilities were all new and very clean, which made our stay comfortable. Our children were so happy to receive the warm welcome gifts prepared for them. Since it was an environmental holiday, the staff even organized a tree-planting activity, which became a memorable experience for our kids. We’re really looking forward to seeing how the trees they planted will grow when we visit again. 🌳 The kitchen utensils and dishes were brand new and spotless. It's a really comfortable flat, fully equipped kitchen and all the necessary facilities. Good value for money. It's safe because at the entry, 24 hrs security as there is Equity Bank on the ground floor. Though self check in was not easy, once you are inside it has everything for a comfortable stay. The owner, a young person is very friendly. I will definitely come back 😀
