Serah really has dared to do something big combining modern and nature, the view to the stars and the quiet places under the trees. I liked her selection of kitchen ware, the furniture and decoration. All bits and pieces are tastefully selected and fit together well. A designer could not have done it better. Beside that I have spent here 2 wonderful days of hiking and relaxing and I even got to know some typical Kenyan meals.  Serah, Jay and Angus thank you for all of that. P.S. don't worry, it is warm in here during the day but it will cool down fast when the sun is down. Until then enjoy the shade.

Featuring a garden, Hillsview Apartment is located in Voi in the Taita Taveta region, 1.4 km from Voi Railway Station and 44 km from Taita Hills. Honestly it was so clean and comfortable. I had excellent communication with the host throughout. They only accept cash payment which we agreed on the currency over WhatsApp. The place was very easy to find on Google maps. Parking is secure and abundant. There is a lift to take your luggage. The apartment is situated on the 5th floor and has the most amazing view and breeze. The place is well ventilated and has fans in every room which are powerful. There were no bugs at all, the accomodation is well lit and everything is clean and well maintained. The shower pressure is fantastic and there was hot water throughout. There was an en suite in the master bedroom and a family bathroom outside for the other 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have double beds and families fit here comfortably. We chose to buy dinner in Mash Poa and Java coffee a few days but we also cooked basics for breakfast and lunch for the kids. It is a gas stove and there are utensils to make pasta, fry eggs, boil rice etc. We visited Voi Wildlife Lodge to have some sundowners and watch the animals. We visited Tsavo East and Tsavo West. We saw more animals in Tsavo West. This location was a perfect jumping off spot to visit both places. My husband and son came with our driver by road whereas my parents and I took the train. The train was extremely comfortable and the 4 hour journey flew by. I highly highly recommend this accommodation. It is comfortable, functional and well priced. The guys at the gate remove the rubbish and are available to help out if needed. We bought groceries from Nairobi but there are 3 supermarkets in town and you get the basics there..
