Wonderful place, great and very kind staff. Nice big comfortable rooms and also common room with terrace. Wash machine for free, Onsen.

The food was exceptional, the place was so authentic, but like in a quiet without trying kind of way they were not being like that for us they were like that so it was true and that was super appreciated. Located in a cute and tranquil neighborhood, walking distance to Matsumoto-cho. It is a fine and detail-oriented Japanese ryokan, I had a great stay here. The host/staff is wonderful! I would definitely re-visit Matsumoto and Hanare for a longer stay.

This place is very special. It was atmospheric and lovely retaining all its original charm, but with wonderfully modern toilets and a modern bathroom with a deep wooden tub. We ended up enjoying the town of Suhara quite a bit as well, it is a lovely original post town. There is a fresh water spring right outside the front door which was also very special for us. The host clearly has his heart and soul in the place and I'm glad he is willing to share it.
