Staff were excellent. Meals were huge and we always felt full. Very accommodating. Rooms were large and comfy, beds had very comfortable blankets. Showers had hot water.

The accommodation responded quickly and happily changed the day of the booking for us. The rooms are cute and although on a hill (we walked up) the view was nice in the evening.

The people there are super cute and helpful, the rooms are super comfortable and well thought through and the food is just incredible! We arrived at dusk so weren’t able to fully appreciate the environment. when i woke the next morning and saw the view from our window, I literally wept. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were yummy and ample. The staff went above and beyond. so very kind and welcoming We liked El Vaquero so much, we stayed an extra night. If you can, go on a horse outing with local farmer, Umberto Ortega. An extensive tour with a kind man. Definitely one of the top three experiences during our two months in Ecuador.

We are still blown away by this hostal. It was so nice to arrive and see this amazing view, and chill in the hammock while having tea and reading. Nice and big chilling area downstairs. The rooms are big, the breakfast was outstanding. When they serve the dinner, everyone comes to the table and talks about the hike and their journey. Everything was perfect. Just book it!

The staff gave us carrots to feed the llamas out front - a trip highlight. This hostel was the type of stay we were looking for in our adventure trip in ecudador. Our favourite stay during our trip by far!
