The use of the swimming pool after a hot day was refreshing. The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast meals were delicious. Each accommodation at the 4-star hotel has mountain views and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 35 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!

Cute little hotel with a nice pool a bit further from the city centre but within walking distance. Walking in the streets has been no problem for us. After 8, we took a cab. Great pizzeria, drogeria, ara supermarket close by. Room was very clean and had an AC, showers were cold. Breakfast was a delicious Colombian selection (eggs, arepa, fruit, juice, coffee).

Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments.
