The receptionist at the hostel was super friendly and professional. She gave us a warm welcome and many good recommendations of places to visit, restaurants, and public transportation. The hostel is in a great position, close to the train station and the public transportation. The room was like in the picture, spotless and comfortable.

The hotel is very close to Taipei Main Station. There are plenty of restaurants around the area. It is even close to shops like Uniqlo, Net, Cosmed, Watsons, and Mistukoshi. Since we like to walk, we walked from Ximending Night Market back to our hotel twice in a row, at ease! The room we stayed in was big and clean. We really liked the drink freebies daily. The hotel staff let us leave our luggage so we could roam around freely, since our flight was in the evening.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lore Hotel. The room was very spacious, tastefully designed, clean and had plenty of natural light. The hotel is located right next to an MRT station. Hotel provides free tasty snacks, as well as tea and filter coffee. We appreciated the free use of the washer/dryer. Staff was friendly and responsive to inquiries via the booking.com app. We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are lovely, the people are kind and friendly, the mattress is thick and luxurious and it’s in a great area to visit lots of nice restaurants and attractions in Taipei Could not have picked a better place to stay for our first time visiting Taipei, highly recommended!

I've stayed at a handful of hotels in Taipei before but Journey Town Inn was one of the best. While the room (Deluxe Double Room with City View) may not have been fancy or luxurious, it was large, quirky, fun, quiet, and very clean. There were 4 large windows in the bedroom and another large window in the bathroom. Windows facing north did have a building quite close by, the west facing windows did not. Attached bathroom was large; had a separate shower and a clawfoot bathtub (with bath salts!). The unusual set up of the hotel was perfect for us. 2 deluxe double rooms with city views face onto the large common living space/lobby. Other rooms were off corridors that also open onto the common room. With only a total of 10 rooms, it was a cozy set up. Common area had on one side a sitting area with a TV. Other side had tables and chairs by the west facing windows. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the building is a multi-purpose building, looks kind of in need of a re-fresh from the outside. You can't tell that there's a hotel inside from the street. There is a small step up from the sidewalk and the building lobby is quite small. There is a 24 hour doorman stationed there. You take the elevator to the 6th floor. Access is by key/code. Hotel is officially staffed between 9am-6pm. Though we witnessed staff arriving at around 8:30am. Those checking in after hours are sent self-check instructions which were very clear (though we did witness people needing multiple attempts to get in). We stayed 6 nights and were grateful for the washing machine (free with laundry detergent!). The neighbourhood seemed to be a downtown office kind of area. Quiet on the weekends and buzzing come Monday morning. As such there weren't as many small breakfast places open on Saturday and Sunday. Still managed to find local shops (sadly no Yong He Soy Milk King nearby) for breakfast. Staff very helpful.

Everything is good about this property. All of the staff were very welcoming, always greeting us, helpful especially when we have questions about travelling to places, food recommendations etc. they were always fluent in English so it makes it easier to communicate. The breakfast they provided gave me a home cooked feel and it’s different everyday. Also, Energy Inn was able to help me get pineapple tarts from Chia Te and got it delivered to the hotel the next day. It was a big plus as I didn’t need to travel down specifically for the souvenirs. The room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay here and will be doing so for my next visit!

The room is very clean and they automatically replace the towels every day even though you are not requesting it. We had a very nice view of Taipei from our room, which I love. The location is very ideal as well. We are near the Ximen Station and Ximending Night Market as well. Very helpful and accommodating staffs.
