This is an excellent place to stay in the Alishan area. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and were happy to pick us up from Shizhuo bus stop and also to take us down to the village for dinner. The rooms are a good size with a seating area outside to relax. There is a beautiful garden with a view of the tea plantations and village below. There is a sunset viewing platform one minute's walk from the guest house, from where you can see the 'sea of clouds' below. Also less than five minutes walk above the guest house is the beginning of the Mist Trail, which is part of 5 inter-connected short walks around the area - all of which have stunning views. I've also stayed in Fenqihu and visited Alishan Forest Recreation Area, and although both are beautiful, I would stay in Shizhuo and Chang Qing Ju again every time.

The host was extremely nice and accommodating. We got stuck at a bus stop down the road and he was so kind to come pick us up. He let us drop our bags off early and even offered to take us to Shizhuo for dinner. He used a translation app so everything was easily communicated

Unique accommodation in the mountains with beautiful gardens and view. Our hosts were exceptional and friendly, catering to our every need. The family at the tea farm were so friendly and welcoming, and we had the best food here in our whole trip to Taiwan. It is only 15 minutes drive from the forest railway and there were lots of hiking trails nearby. The room was basic but fine, with a large shared lounge area. we were there when the weather was cold and there was a heater we could use.
