If you're in Kras — and you definitely should be if you're a fan of wine and ancient cities — stay at Vina Kobal and book a tasting. There are two apartments here — brand new, spotless, with everything you need inside. And a bottle of Teran in the fridge. With a terrace offering a beautiful view. And after the tasting, you won't need to go anywhere :) Even without the tasting, you can hang out there for a couple of days - walking in Stagnel and through the vineyards. And the sea is a 40-minute drive away. But who needs the sea when wine flows like a river? A few words about the tasting. Eight wines and a huge plate of delicious homemade appetizers for 30 euros. You might say that can't be true, the wines must be rubbish. But it is true! And every wine is wonderful, so full of flavor and life! Ivo, thank you for your high level of hospitality! An exceptional and very peaceful location on the edge of the village, perfect for a complete getaway from the hectic world. My wife and I had a very restful time, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings filled with greenery, and were thoroughly impressed with the lovely bedroom with a bathroom and the central living room, arranged with attention to detail. We highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates tranquility!

Right in the centre of Komen with balcony on the square. Great bed, shower and kitchenette and all looking smart and new. Generous free breakfast of cereal, juice, croissants coffee and toast included in price (in the garden bar under apartment). Best of all was the welcome though. Staff of bar are great and the beer, popcorn and bruschetta were very welcome after a big day cycling. We were also given a free bottle of locally made wine which we drank sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down across the valley.

We turned up at very short notice, and the host managed to organise a key pick up and parking, which is a miracle in the centre of Stanjel! It was a wonderful stay - incredible location, clean and nicely decorated apartment and very good amenities. I could not recommend it more.
