This is a well throughout apartment for travellers, equipped with everything you need for a long stay. It’s the little things that make you feel like you are at home like the complimentary port wine, yum, thank you. Newly renovated with contactless checkin. We liked the personal approach and introduction of the house. And also helped us orient us in the town. Spacious, comfortable for the whole family. Kitchen fully equipped with basic ingredients for a breakfast. Washing mashine was also useful.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Casa do Barca. The host Bruno met us, made sure we understood the airconditioners, smart TV and all the amenities. The place is beautiful, an old stone house perfectly re-done, walking distance from everything in town, and also walking distance (if you are up for a hike, which we were) to the Museum de Coa. It's a real gem!

Huge comfortable verandas to enjoy the vineyard and olive grove views.Great kitchen area to prepare food if you choose to and amazing breakfast. The kindness of the owners welcoming us and accommodating a change of date - this is and ideal place to base and discover this less explored Douro area and you will have a very warm welcome.

There was a pub next to the pool where we could use the bbq which was lovely. The pool was a great temperature and very clean. We were given pool towels.The breakfast had a lovely choice of rolls, fruit, juice and yoghurt. The hostess spoke no English but we were able to communicate with Google translate and she was very pleasant. We visited the very interesting museum to learn about the rock art

Everything was perfect - the location, the facilities, the communication. We loved the apartment and the town. Both were perfect for our motorbike tour. We loved the outdoor space, the excellent shower, great cooking facilities and the fact that we were in the heart of this welcoming community. We shall be back!
