We had a wonderful stay at Rancho Estero with our family. Even though by European standards, facilities are not perfect, and there would be place for some minor reparations, especially in the bathroom and shared kitchen, the authentic setting, the warm hosting from Eli, and the proximity of the beach made our stay at Rancho Estero one of the best experiences throughout our Panama trip. But above all, are the surfing lessons with Zigor. Big thank you! We really loved every minute spent on the board (and near, and beaneath it :)), and feel we have advanced a lot in surfing. The kids still say that surfing with you was by far their best experience in Panama. Hope to come back some time.

Excellent Check-in and excellent communication with Paola via WhatsApp . Paola comes every afternoon (16h- 19h), very friendly. We got the keys from the house keeper, or they would be on our door with our name. Little nice house ( very very clean) in a garden, very quiet place. Small terrasse with table and chairs. Inside : A sofa, a small kitchen, a rather large bedroom, and a tiny bathroom. Lots of towels. Good lights, AC. An excellent pizzeria and a gelateria quite close (100m).

Best hotel we went to Panama. Perfect location, beautiful pool, comfy bed and there was a basket of fruits in the house. The host was very friendly. I really recommend it, especially for surfers, it's 10 minutes walk from the spot La Punta

Decent kitchen, the outdoor area was nice, location was perfect for the bus and nice and quiet at night. They did a laundry service that was 7.50 for a full load which worked out to be really cheap if you found people to share with. I stayed in the private hut for one night and that was really cute and comfy.

Top location right on the beach. If your budget allows, we recommend staying in the separate house overlooking the bay. It has the best view not only in the hostel but arguably, the whole of Santa Catalina. It also boasts air-co, two large beds and is super quiet. The guys running the place are very helpful and charming.

Incredible location, we loved sitting in the hammocks and watching the sunset. No better view in Santa Catalina. Great aircon in the rooms and very clean with towels provided. Great access to town and the beach. Kitchen was basic but functional and worked well. The host was so helpful and friendly, we loved meeting the pets and we used the laundry service which was speedy.

Nice hostel with good vibes in a really beautiful location. You live in the jungle right next to the beach. The best thing is, that you have a private entrance to the beach. The well equiped kitchen was always very, very clean!

The location is unbeatable: very close from Santa Catalina main street (use the handy shortcut by the beach), and has amazing shared facilities, such as the pool and the nice bar and patio area. The budget twin room is literally just a tiny room with two beds, full stop, but it's a great deal because you will still have access to all the amazing share facilities. Staff is nice and helpful.
