An amazing experience in this camp owned by Sayid and his family. We had a wonderful welcome, kids enjoyed different activities as camel ride and sledding on the dunes. The camp is located high on the dunes, view and sunset are amazing. The tents have really comfortable beds. I would recommend this camp if you are looking for an authentic Omani desert experience. It was really hard to say goodbye.

It was a very fun experience in the desert, despite the fact that the sandstorm started. The tent is spacious, tidy, the bedding is clean. The hosts are wonderful, agreed, told about the desert. They were very nice and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. we made a bonfire in the evening. I recommend it. Getting to the tents is not difficult.

It was beautiful - especially during sunrise and sunset! The dinner food was v nice as well! I‘d recommend letting them guide you to the tent - I don’t think we would have found it by ourselves . (&You definitely need a four-wheel drive!!)

What can we say but “wow”. Staying in the desert with Salin and Alam looking after us was the best way to experience the Wahiba Sands. It was a perfect and authentic experience. Being greeted by the kids and Salin upon our arrival, the sunset camel ride, the outdoor sleeping platform and just the location, all exceeded our expectation. Alam’s food was great and we felt spoiled by him. He was amazing. They cared for our welfare and enjoyment. I would recommend staying here without any hesitation.

I had an amazing stay at Shooting Star Camp in Wahiba Sands. The tents were beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the private setup for 4 people made it feel so special. The night sky full of stars was breathtaking, and I also enjoyed the camel ride. A truly wonderful desert experience — highly recommended!

Reading the reviews, one main “negative” recurring comment was that there were no fridges and tv in the room, but these are part of the “upgrades” and available on other room types, so just check that before booking. We had the Sheik tent (no fridge, no tv) and room was spot on! Bed big and super comfy! Loved the property, food was good and changed every evening (and you can eat a la carte at the restaurant during the day). Place was quiet, swimming pool area really nice. Free activities great. Nice playground for children. We had the best time!!!!
