I loved this place! it is my dream home, surrounded by greenery and hills. Our room was simple but spaciuos, clean and tidy with a big bathroom and a very comfortable bed. There is a small kitchen equipped all what is needed, the breakfast was very nice! even if we stayed for one night only, we felt like home! a plus is the hot pool iacuzzi in the garden, fantastic! the surrounding garden is so lovely and the cat is adorable! The BnB is 10 minutes by car from Matamata town and around 15 minutes from Hobbitton movie set.

The owner provided fresh eggs from her own chickens, fresh milk from the farm next door, home made jam and one of the other residents gave me some bread. Breakfast was therefore great. The owner also gave me some tangerines from her trees when I left. Very rural, no shops nearby so take some supplies with you. If you like peace and tranquility , gove value and friendly host , this is it.

Brent and Kate are great hosts. The short walk down to the river was an absolutely beautiful surprise! We were given a lovely breakfast basket which had delicious fresh eggs and homemade relish and jam! Punga Grove is a hidden gem, and I hope to stay again!

the house is entirely for yourself with privacy, good location with lush greenery and the house was super clean with top amenities. the only drawback fr us was non availability of fresh milk in the fridge for our toddler,but that's a minor thing when compared to other stuff.
