Absolutely the sweetest little cottage and kind family that owns it!! Host was super helpful and accommodating. She left food in the fridge for us to make sandwiches and a few drinks! We even got a cuddle in from their sweet cat that lived nearby! The cottage was warm and inviting. Not a ton of places to eat out but the few places they have are great! 10/10 would stay her again. Perfect place to stop on our way from Te Anua to Queenstown!

A family run, excellent country side accommodation in a spacious and well equipped house. A truly special place run by special people. The tour of the farm was very enjoyable. Staff is amazingly welcoming and ready to assist.

We didn’t actually choose Lumsden it chose us because we couldn’t find accommodation in Te Anau so this turned out to be serendipitous because Lumsden was so perfect. It was the most delightful wee village and a perfect central location to other spots in this area. We would love to return and wouldn’t now naturally choose Te Anau.
