Loved staying here - the hosts are amazing and the property is full of character. Such a great spot, great access for Paparoa Track and also a fascinating history. Great place to take a bike - very accommodating and helpful.

An amazing hidden gem full of character. Not your average hotel stay, an old traditional pub feel with amazing hearty food. Highly recommend.

Booked for 2 nights as part of our trip up the coast but as soon as we got there we knew we wanted to stay longer. It was such a lovely place & fortunately there was availability. We eventually booked 7 nights in total & loved every minute. Including a 24 hour storm, which felt like no issue for this really well built property. The tiny house was was modern, well equipped with everything we needed & the host, Donna, checked in with us to top up on fresh towels & restock tea & hot chocolate. Highlights for us were the privacy & situation of the property, enabling a full & spectacular view of the sea (which we never tired of). Location to shops in Greymouth was only 5 minutes in the car. Great local walks (Point Elizabeth walk & lookout) or just along the beach (which was practically deserted apart from the occasional fisherperson & some surfers at Cobden) Super clean property with very comfy large bed & hotel spa linens & towels. Shower was powerful & plenty of hot water. Heating & air-conditioning was well appreciated due to the changing weather conditions. Excellent value for money & we hope to return in the next few months or when we return to NZ again. Or we would like to just move in permanently 😉

The room and home were so spacious, homey, cosy, warm, clean and inviting. The host John and Wayne were such a delight. Enjoyed their hospitality. We felt like visiting old family friends who love collecting beautiful things as house deco. We had such a restful sleep after a very long day on the road. The location was ideal for us as we were looking for quiet place away from tourists but not too far from Greymouth. Yummy breakfast with home made jam by Wayne himself with fruits picked from his own garden. John helped us out with advice that made our holiday even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this Homestay.

Perfection. We had high expectations based on the photos and description and it did not disappoint. Absolutely stunning views. Very comfortable room with everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Shirley and Marius were kind and thoughtful hosts. Can’t recommend enough.

Booked 1 night, ended up staying 2. Close to shop and a couple of bars/restaurants. Motel excellent. Note, the town doesn’t have too much to offer. Most kitchens close at 8 or 9 and bar and restaurants tend to close at 10.
