The view is as amazing as it appears in the advert, and the bed was super comfortable. Helen is an amazing hostess, she made us feel so welcome in her special home, cooked a delicious breakfast (bread straight from the oven!) and shared lots of great advice for our trip.

Great place near Arthur’s pass. Nice room, clean and comfortable , good parking. The owners were very nice people. Good hot shower , kitchen and fridge. We had a good time and really recommend staying here.

The chalet is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has coffee beans with a grinder. It is a bonus that the cabin provided with a washer and a cloth dryer. The chalet was tastefully decorated too.

Beautifully quiet, blissfully basic hut exactly as described. Warm comfy bed, all kitchen items, clean basic hot shower and toilet just outside. Fab little log burner with logs supplied warmed the cabin beautifully. Stunningly clear night skys, well worth popping outside to look at the stars of its clear! Even the train going past was nowhere near so noisy as I had expected. Perfect minimalist escape.

Great place to stay in the mountains! Simple but super cozy. Comes with a wood-chopping opportunity and some old vinyls, we had a good time!
