Julieta was just the nicest person ever! Even though we got stuck at the border from Costa Rica to Nicaragua, she waited for us until 10:30pm and welcomed us. everything was great and super clean, unbeatable for that price. The location at Playa Gigante is a well kept secret, it is close enough but away from more crowded locations to the south and to the north. The people at Gigante are working fishermen mostly with huge smiles, and willing to go out of their way to help. Smiles and greetings guaranteed as they pass you by. No exceptions. Wow. The hotel, is a small operation run by its owner and loyal staff, always on premises. Very secure, very clean, very attractive and representative of the area. I would not consider booking anywhere else when I decide to return, which I most certainly will.

What a nice surprise. The three photos on Booking don't do the justice as they are outdated, from 3 years ago when the family started the hostel. Now they have a few rooms with private bathrooms for a cheap price and they don't want to raise the prices. They are a very welcoming and kind family. There is a kitchen to use with all you might need and a common area with a safe space for some 4 or more motorcycles.

Hostal Casa Bonita Ometepe has a garden and barbecue facilities in Rivas. The property features garden and inner courtyard views, and is 35 km from Maderas Volcano.
