When I arrived I was tired and hungry because of my itinerary and no food on the flight. Rex, the owner, graciously cooked me a delicious meal and never charged for it! I was saved from going to sleep hungry. Julieta is always charming, knowledgable and informative with any questions. I will be using Hostal Julieta in the future whenever I need to pass through Rivas for my flights or visa runs.

The location at Playa Gigante is a well kept secret, it is close enough but away from more crowded locations to the south and to the north. The people at Gigante are working fishermen mostly with huge smiles, and willing to go out of their way to help. Smiles and greetings guaranteed as they pass you by. No exceptions. Wow. The hotel, is a small operation run by its owner and loyal staff, always on premises. Very secure, very clean, very attractive and representative of the area. I would not consider booking anywhere else when I decide to return, which I most certainly will.

After 4 months of traveling in south and central Amerika, we’ve never met such a friendly person as Max. He gave us the warmest welcome when arriving and helped us with all our questions. The room itself is simple but is has everything you need. Safe neighborhood, stores and restaurants are 10-15 minutes walk. Just the perfect stay if you want to go to omepete afterwards. Again, muchas gracias por todo!
