We had an amazing stay at Finca Montania Sagrada. Our hosts were amazing, and the farm was beyond beautiful. Hari took our kids for a little horseriding, my son can not stop planning our next trip to Ometepe eversince. (If you are planning a horse trip, make sure to bring long pants!) The finca is a bit further up from the road but not more than 5-10 minutes by foot, no problem to walk up from there if you do not arrive by a 4x4.

La Sirenita is an amazing place to stay. It is a hidden gem right on the lake. It is very peaceful with the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a great and affordable bar just next door - take a walk on the beach. It is a simple accommodation with all the basics you need. If you love nature, camping and being surrounded by animals - this is the place for you. We especially loved Moka, the dog who will follow you around and provide loads of protection. The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was so affordable! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

The owner, Odelba and her family were awesome! So kind and helpful. The place has a great location to do whatever you want to do in Ometepe, very clean, solar energy, great wifi, filtered water, hammocks. All good. We loved it so much that we are staying one more full month!

Teresa was absolutely lovely—an excellent host. Our room was very clean and the bed was large and comfy. Teresa was also an excellent cook we really enjoyed her pasta dish! We accidentally broke one of the tiles in the bathroom during our stay and Teresa was really understanding and we really appreciated that. The wifi was also very reliable.

It was quiet and relaxed at this place. It was just in front of the water. They had a mango tree with tasty mangos. Everyone was very friendly and we could use the kitchen for preparing our meals. We were also able to order food which was very tasty and cheap. We had a motorbike, so transportation was convenient, but without it would be as easy. Our room was clean, we had two fans and enough space for our luggage. The tap water was drinkable. It was filtered water from coming from the mountain 🏔️.

The staff were incredible helpful, friendly, kind and chatty. The location is amazing.... Stunning views, beautiful grounds, super peaceful, cheeky howler monkeys in the mango trees, lots of birds and butterflies. Really yummy food aswell.

Great spot for watching sunsets, room was perfect for us and it was super quiet and relaxing. Lovely & helpful staff and amazing Nicaraguan breakfasts (we ordered the same one every day). They can also sort out bike hire which is needed as it’s a secluded location but perfect for getting away from crowds and having a chill time.

Casa Papaki was a fantastic place to stay. The location was really nice and the staff and restaurant there were incredible. The food at the restaurant was especially amazing and the head chef Joshua was inspired to create a fusion with farm-to-table food. It was the best quality food we've had in all of Nicaragua.

Super location if you have your own transport otherwise $25 in a taxi from moyagalpa. Great location for kayaking the istian river and climbing maderas. Lovely gardens and views.

Fantastic friendly and helpful staff who helped us with anything we asked for! (scooter rental, taxi, boat schedule etc). The rooms are nice and spacious, shower has great pressure and the location is amazing since it is in walking distance to mango beach (sunsets!!) and close to the starting point of the hike to the waterfall!

It's a really beautiful location, remote but beautiful. You're at the foot of Maderas volcano and can hear howler monkeys. The owners are super relaxed and it's an easy place to meet people as you all have dinner at 7pm. The grounds are gorgeous and well looked after. You can start the Maderas hike directly from the property!
