Cheap hotels in Vilanculos

The place is an absolute gem in Vilanculos. It was created just a few months ago, it is all new, clean and to be honest are the best lodges in the city. I travelled to many counties in Africa and it is the best by far. They also have the best Portuguese food there in the restaurant. People sometimes just come from different lodges just to eat here. The accommodation is better than it looks in the pictures. If you stay here, the stuff will make sure you will have the best experience at all the most beautiful islands. They help with travel tickets, organization and everything. You can really relax and enjoy your holidays here. It is one of the magical places I want to come back taking my friends with. Enjoy it!

This resort is probably one of the best resorts where I’ve stayed, primarily because of the amazing, friendly, & attentive staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile by Alex, the bar & restaurant staff, who prepared my welcome drink then helped me check in. Rebecca, the resort’s manager, then came & also warmly welcomed me. She briefed me about the property, the restaurant, the activities offered, then showed me to my beautiful chalet with a sea view. My room with its own balcony, right in front of the beach was perfect. I watched the sunrise a couple of times from my balcony as I sipped my morning coffee. There was coffee, cream, sugar & a kettle in the room, which was very convenient. The ambiance of the place & the room felt like paradise, and my bed was super comfortable for a good night’s rest. The breakfast, which was included with my room rate, was excellent. As a matter of fact, I ate most of my meals at the resort’s restaurant because their food was delicious. Plus, the restaurant staff was always very attentive. This place was the perfect place for me to relax. On one of the days, I independently booked a day trip to Bazaruto & Two Mile Reef with a local tour operator, but unfortunately, they didn’t show up as the tour was canceled. As I was sitting in the reception area in the morning, waiting for my tour pick-up, which didn’t show up, Rebecca came to my rescue. After I told her about the company I booked with & my contact’s name, she contacted him directly to find out what was going on. She did confirm that the tour was cancelled because no one else was going. It was low season in June so not many boats make the trip to Bazaruto, unless they get enough people. Fortunately, they did have enough people for the next day so I was re-booked for the following day instead. I was so thankful to Rebecca for really helping me sort all of this out.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a wonderfully well-kept and truly tranquil environment. This isn't just a hotel; it's a peaceful retreat where every detail is cared for. The natural setting is a highlight in itself. The gardens are exceptionally well tended, creating a vibrant, colourful oasis that invites relaxation at every turn. Coupled with the great poolside restaurant and bar, the ambiance during the day was second to none. Our accommodation was equally impressive. The rooms are well appointed, spacious, and wonderfully comfortable, providing a true sense of luxury. Waking up each morning to a great view of the ocean was breathtaking, especially watching the spectacular sunrise paint the sky—it’s a memory I won't soon forget. Gastronomy was another area where Aguia Negra truly shone. The dinners and breakfasts were phenomenal. Every dish was full of flavour and, importantly, reasonably priced, meaning we could indulge without hesitation. And of course, all this is located just a stone's throw from an expansive, unbusy, and exquisite ocean front. You couldn’t ask for a better setting to unwind. What truly topped off the entire experience, however, was the exceptionally attentive, professional, and friendly staff. Brian and his team went above and beyond, anticipating our needs and always greeting us with warmth, making us feel genuinely at home and looked after. They are the heart and soul of Aguia Negra. If you are looking for paradise in Vilankulos, this is it.

The staff is super friendly, and the environment was magical, you can walk right to the beach from the rooms.

The location is awesome. Facilities are perfect for families and groups. The staff is amazing. We were very supported by Zubaida and Jorge, enjoying the great drinks of Mr. Boaventura, and a nice day at Bazaruto with the sailors, Cremildo and Arnaldo. The bedding are special spetacular. Hard do wake up.

Personalised care from staff, attention to detail. Requests listened and adhered to. Made such a difference. The chef and receptionist were personal favourites.

Fabulous stay from all points of view. Super clean and tidy apartment. Exceptional restaurant. Friendly and super helpful staff, never met such wonderful people in all my years of traveling. Excellent value for money and thanks again Samara.

Beautiful wooden villas set up on a dune , overlooking beautiful views of the sea. Great food , exceptional staff. Kirstie the exceptional manager helped with everything we ask and suggested places to visit or discover around . We loved our stay

Casacabana was a wonderful ten day stay for us (my wife and I). Bobo and the rest of the wonderful staff were amazing and like a family to us. We were in a bungalow right off the beach and enjoyed the soothing nature of the weather, beach and constant ocean tides. For breakfast and dinner we only went to the attached Casbah Restaurant as the food prepared by the kind chefs was first rate. Our housekeeping was thorough and left us with everything we needed. Everyone here was so good to us and we will always cherish the memories.
