Was upgraded to King Suite.. by far the biggest and most comfortable hotel room I've ever stayed in! Do yourself a favour and book the King Suite.. you will absolutely feel like a king/queen. Excellent gym and pool facilities, food menu and cocktails were stellar.

Clean beyond expectations, and amazingly helpful and communicative staff. Easy to find as long as you read the directions provided. Location is great, within walking distance to many mini markets, food stalls, and great restaurants. The owners and staff clearly put a lot of thought into this place. Beyond the basic amenities, they also provided a hairdryer with various attachments (including a diffuser!), and a scale to weight your luggage, which was very useful for us. Would definitely recommend A Residence to any friends and family planning to visit Kota Kinabalu.

Stunning room, clean and luxury feel to it. Staff were great, really helpful and had good communication through WhatsApp. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! You’d definitely struggle to find a nicer place than this in Sandakan. 10/10 recommend
