Great location, with a surf beach within walking distance. The rooms are extremely well designed, and the suite offers a stunning sea view. The rooftop view is also incredible. The owner, who is Italian, welcomed us very warmly and prepared a delicious, authentic Italian meal using high‑quality ingredients, complete with the perfect atmosphere. Truly unforgettable!

Beautifully furnished room with a nice bathroom that offers a great rain shower with hot water. The swimming pool is very inviting and the staff was exceptionally helpful, very accommodating, and friendly. We enjoyed the rich breakfast very much. The location is close to the beach. I can really recommend this place highly.

Very beautiful stay with the most lovely people!! The pool is very nice, and the views are amazing. The rooms are big, clean and the shower is very nice (and hot!). It's not too far to walk to the center and the beach, but the location of Sapiens Home is quiet en peaceful. The breakfast is delicious. The staff is more than welcoming and kind, where they helped us when there were stray dogs in the street and we could not get passed them and made me feel special on my birthday with cake, a board and congratulations. We really enjoyed our stay!

An amazing place where I spent 5 weeks! It has a large green area with only 5-7 small standalone cottages. There are many animals and birds, and most importantly, they don’t make noise at night. Nearby is Jungle Beach, one of the few places in Weligama where swimming is comfortable since the waves are far away. The staff is wonderful—always polite and quick to resolve any issues, though there were very few during my stay. Communication was very smooth and comfortable! I talked to many people on the island, and I believe it’s hard to find a better place—hot water, good Wi-Fi, lots of greenery, no noise from roads or trains, air conditioning, excellent service, and only 7 minutes by bike to Weligama. Highly recommended!

OMG!!!! What a lovely place. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. The staff are the kindest and most thoughtful I ever met. Breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. We had a lovely stay at Rise. The rooms are clean and comfy and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the water refill, aircon and delicious breakfast each morning. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Although the road can be a bit busy in front, we slept well. It’s in a good location close to the beach (also not as busy on that side). We really enjoyed our stay, thanks for having us.

It was truly the best accommodation in all of Sri Lanka. We have never experienced such a warm, family-like place before — it genuinely felt like home. On top of that, the view over the ocean is absolutely unique, and the biggest highlight was how much the hosts care for the animals: the squirrels, the monkeys, and the dogs. If we ever return to Sri Lanka, we will 100% make a stop here again. One piece of advice: don’t think twice — if you’re lucky enough to find this place available, just book it!

I had an amazing stay here at River Post Co-Working & Co-Living Weligama. The room was very clean, I was able to check in early, they have an AMAZING massage therapist based on site, the location is right beside the river with a great view, and the host Manoj is very welcoming. There is also free parking and an in-house breakfast is available. I would highly recommend this place for an affordable and relaxing visit to Weligama! 😊

The dorms were very clean and spacious. The location was ideal too, it was just a 10 minute walk to the beach. Definitely recommend for either solo travelers or a group of friends looking for a convenient base in Weligama.

It’s a good enough place for the price you pay. It was almost clean, with basic amenities. But the location is very good, just next to the perfect surfing spot and also a nice natural pool that is very good for swiming. You can give it a go if you are on a budget.

very nice and helpful owner. very clean. good location in beautiful surroundings. it has a mosquito net. the beach is only a few minutes' walk away. good shared kitchen with a fridge. very practical; scooters can be rented cheaply there. I appreciate the family atmosphere and will gladly come back here.
