A newly built cute little family owned place. The mom and son are new to hosting guests and were very dedicated to making us feel comfortable. They welcomed us with tea and cake. They were very sweet and the place was comfortable. It is very conveniently located close to a tea estate. 10 minutes walk to the railway station and a 15-minute leisurely walk to Nanu Oya Falls. The place is also away from the touristy area and so you get an authentic view into the daily life of locals. The locals were also very friendly, and everyone would smile and wave. The mom got up very early next morning to make us a cup of tea and see us off as we were boarding the first train to Colombo.

It was such a great time at Ansi Villa! I was given a better room, because at that moment, it was available. Trust me, I a full time traveler, but I was NEVER received with tea and cake at a hotel! Unbelievable! Staff was friendly and smiling, very helpful. The room was nice and clean. The food provided was delicious and the location was just splendid! Go to Ansi Vila, guys!

I loved the place mostly. It was neat and clean. The rooms were spacious enough. Also, the washroom. There was a kitchen space with all the cutlery sets, a fridge, and a hot water kettle. So, anybody can have a dine-in using those things. Also, there is a spacious balcony with a great city view. We enjoyed sitting there. we had free breakfast. And, the humble owner lady provided us with fresh fruits and English breakfast. that we loved most.

One of the best rooms I’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka. The villa interior is modern and beautiful. Exceptionally clean, well equipped room and with great amenities. Tea/coffee, nice toiletries, spotless bathroom, comfortable bed, TV/netflix. The staff were absolutely amazing - I made the booking very last minute and they really took care of me, which is important for a solo female traveller. Very warm welcome. The breakfast was very nice. Yes, the villa might be a few km outside town, but it’s a short tuk tuk ride. Amazing value for money. Highly recommended.

We had one of the best stays here in Sri Lanka so far! Our host Shan and his mum were super welcoming, kind and hospitable. They always made sure that we felt comfortable and at home. We got a free upgrade to their two-level room, which had the most amazing view over Gregory lake. There was hot water, thick bed sheets and the home made breakfast by his mum was sooo delicious!! My partner got a little bit sick, so they made us warm tea and some fried noodles for dinner. We felt very grateful for their kindness and can 100% recommend this place!
