I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

The villa is in a quiet area. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool and enjoyed the different games available like the billiard table. Aloka made sure we had great meals and showed us a river with small waterfalls in the area where the kids could take a swim which was great.

A very nice and new complex of 6 bungalows with a blooming garden and a terrace, where excellent breakfasts and other food are served, as well as a nice and well-kept swimming pool. The rooms are large, nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and outdoor shower. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A free tuktuk will take you to the beach whenever you want, as well as from the beach back to the hotel. They also have their own morning safari boat, on which we saw a lot of animals and magical mangroves. If you are headed to Bentota, book this hotel without hesitation!

We stayed 4 night in this villa and our stay was more than fantastic!!! The host Shameera is such a great and wonderful guy. The villa is located in a very green garden with a lot of space around the building. You can sit on the veranda and look for hours only in the garden and you will see real nature with different flowers, trees, animals etc. It was so relaxing!! :-) The breakfast is served by the host every morning on the veranda outside and it contains day by day different local specialties with a wonderful taste. Also his hints, what to to in the surroundings and possible activities are great and useful. Thank you once again for hosting us in your small escape from normal life, Shameera. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The host family was exceptional, just all round lovely people. Vish brought us on a wonderful tour of Bentota in his Tuk Tuk, and taught us about Buddhist culture and traditions. We even visited a dog sanctuary! Rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

A restaurant where you can order delicious seafood with a very beautiful beach. The staff are very kind and always look after us. Also, the room we got was very big and it was very clean. I loved this beach screen the most. I recommend it.  And we will definitely be back

Everything was exceeding our expectations. The hotel alone is beautiful with a lot of trees and nice lights, a great pool and cosy, clean rooms. The food is also superb, they offer a great selection for dinner and lunch for a good price and you get a huge portion, which is always appreciated, but on top of that everything tastes really really good! The cherry on top is the staff… all people working there is clearly there for you to ensure you spend an amazing time there. Everyone is super helpful and everyone is unimaginably nice. I highly recommend visiting this place and stay there for many nights. We regretted that we couldn’t stay there for longer time, trully amazing place and people!

I'm really demanding person but I was fascinated about this place! Let's Start with location. It's situated about 10 minuts by foot from Aluthgama railway station. It's very convenient when you trevel by train like we. You shouldn't worry about noise because this hotel is on a quiet street near the river. For people who is really in nightlife there are no bars, cafes and parties around this place. Instead of this you can enjoy amazing sunsets and try water activities on the river or fly on a glider over the beach. The hotel is separated from the beach by a river so they give you a free ride to the beach by boat. The beach is sandy, wide and almost deserted. There are no cafes but I saw several sunbeds so probably it could be rented. The coast is quite flat and the ocean depth is shallow, so the place is suitable for children Guest house is pretty small (about 5-6 rooms) and doesn't have a garden where people can walk but we didn't suffer about it. Amazing and welcoming family run it. They helped us with all questions but were not intrusive. We took a river safari excursion from them and did not regret it. We saw monitor lizards, endemic monkeys, small crocodiles, bats and birds. All the time we ate only in this hotel. They provide very tasty and filling breakfasts. We were served scrambled eggs in different forms (scramble, omelet, etc.), yogurt, fruit, toast, butter and jam, juice, tea or coffee. Besides they have a wide selection of dishes in menu including grilld meet( chiken, beef, porc), sea food, noodles, rice etc. All was available and has affordable price. We stayed in family room on the first floor. It is spacious, bright, extremely clean and fully matches with photo and description. Definitely recommend this hotel and say a huge thank you to this family!
