Enjoyed the stay in our own space! Amazing location with close proximity to all Kataragama main attractions. Situated right across a lake beside the main road. This place had the best spacious & clean rooms with comfortable bedding when it's compared with other options in Kataragama that's going at these similar rates. Managed by a humble local family and they treated us the best way possible. They even offered morning tea/coffee free of charge in the morning & gifted us some yummy mangoes from their own garden as well at our departure.. Got to know that they can arrange a safari as well if required & saw some great experiences shared by the previous gusts as well.. Parking available. Recommending the place to friends, families & couples who are seeking a peaceful stay :)

This is one of the best stays. Place is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We booked the cabana with the private pool and facilities of that was extremely satisfying. Special comment should be given on the customer care of the entire staff including the management. They paid attention to every bit of our requests. Food was delicious. Hospitality from this lovely couple is second to none! We benefitted from Kapilla's excellent guidance whilst in Yala, seeing no fewer than 3 leopards, elephants and so much more! He took us to quiet locations away from other vehicles as we wanted, identifying birds and plants, his knowledge of Sri Lankan natural history is excellent. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable.

I recently stayed at Rathna Holiday Resort during my visit to Kataragama Devalaya and was incredibly impressed! The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the Kataragama Devalaya and very close to the town. Despite being near the town, the environment is calm and peaceful, especially at night, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The room and washroom were spotless and in excellent condition, providing all the comfort I needed. What truly stood out was the stunning mountain view from the location, which made my stay even more memorable. Overall, Rathna Holiday Resort is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Kataragama. Highly recommend!t

The staff were attentive and really knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure that everything was how you wanted it needed it to be. Anthony and Winnie looked after us from our arrival to our departure, making sure we had enough to eat and drink and that we were comfortable and had activities to do. Dilhara was our safari guide and was brilliant at pointing out different animal species. They arranged everything for us from our arrival to our departure.
