This is a paradise spot!!! The owner's family has thought about everything. The stunning view, the abundant bird life, the short distance to the park's entrance, but also convenient details indoors, like the switch for the fan beside the bed, make the stay a wonderful experience. Location was amazing, very close to the gate entrance of sinharaja rain forest. A beautiful waterfall 2 min from the room. The rooms are great hearing the sound of the waterfall, Manisha makes the best food. Highly recommended for people who like to be close to nature, seeking for adventures or just chill in serene environment.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sinharaja Vini Villa. The location is beautiful next to the river and close to Sinharaja Forrest reserve. It's so peaceful, nice place to relax. The hosts are such a lovely family, very welcoming. All the family are involved in running the homestay. We also had dinner there, the portions are generous, and also beautiful fresh fruit juices. To walk in Sinharaja forest you need a guide as paths are not clearly marked, our host arranged a guide for the day hike, and was very kind as we arrived back late (we took ages with taking photos) and we were able to shower and freshen up, and had complimentary fruit juice before our onward journey. Our shoes got really muddy, and our host kindly washed them, and dried them for us. Also the accommodation can arrange you transport with good safe drivers. Would certainly recommend staying there, especially if you love a quiet time, nature and Forrest.

Must visit if you go to Sri Lanka as a couple. The atmosphere from the patio alone was worth the (very affordable) cost. Monkeys and many different birds make an appearance every day. The owner and staff were super helpful. Thank you! <3

We only got the room, but it was excellent value for money. Room facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to provide us with great hospitality. We particularly enjoyed learning more about the Sinharaja Forest from the insightful books they provided. The weather during our stay was also ideal – not too hot or too cool, which made exploring very pleasant. The overall peaceful atmosphere of the location was also a big plus, allowing for a truly relaxing stay

We really enjoyed our short time in the rainforest. The house is sorrounded by ricefields and you can just sit and watch the birds all day. We went on a rainforest walk with Thisarn, which was really great and enjoyed the rest of our time relaxing in the nature. The food we got served was delicious, we fell even more in love with Sri Lankan cuisine. Thisarn also organized a driver for us to get us to our next location, which was really helpful! Thank you for everything!

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!

It is in an excellent location,100m walk to rainforest and nestled amongst a tea plantation. Danushke and his family went over and beyond to make me feel welcome. Danushke is a Singharaja rainforest reserve guide and knows how to make a hike memorable, his knowledge of the local flora and fauna is second to none. The meals the family prepare are outstanding
