Outstanding place Excellent breakfast Kind hosting family. Very kind morning waiter. Excellent English speakers...an opportunity to chat about lot of subjects. They really care for your comfort. Every amenity has a special touch , from flowers to napkins. Provided also assistance for shopping, dinner, trips and airport transfer. An ideal place to spend 3 nights. Very near the beach, multiple restaurants, local shops and snack bars. The property itself is extremely well kept by Jaya. I loved eating his freshly grown fruit for breakfast, and he's really interesting and helpful, particularly with local knowledge. You wont be getting ripped off when Jaya is helping you book activities (lovely mangrove tour and pit stop at ayurveda garden!). Very relaxing feel to the place too! The room was more than spacious. Great place to stay in Bentota within a 5 minute walk to the best beach in the area. There are also good eateries around with excellent food and reasonable prices. The rooms at the villa are maintained to the highest standards, very clean, hot water, kitchen, cutlery, complimentary tea/coffee. Channa, the host , and his family are very supportive, helped to arrange airport transfer and some other trips. Strongly recommend.

If you're looking for a hotel Sri Lanka for some rest and relaxation, Villa Thamburu is ideal! The location is great offering easy access to a lovely, quiet beach. The staff great too. All were incredibly polite, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile for us. The food was also a highlight. I can't imagine anywhere else in Bentota could match it. The hotel itself was beautiful too!

Prianthi and Raj were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the location so close to the beach, a few restaurants (Happy Garden!) and the train station was ideal. And the breakfast was really lovely. I'd definitely recommend the place.
