Location is really peaceful and beautiful, as it's a bit remote the owner was so nice to offer to get us any food or drinks we needed. The food made by his wife was absolutely delicious! You get to chill in a hammoc, play badminton, enjoy scenic view on the mountain and chill in the pool. There is even a nice hike to do next door. It was a perfect gateway for 2 really peaceful days. Thank you so much!

Exceptional, unique resort! You fall asleep on the music of the jungle, see fire flies at night and wake up on the sound of crickets. We absolutely loved this place! The food was great and the tours they recommended us were great! Thanks you to the Wanakest crew, we had a memorable stay!

The views, the natural water pool and the terrace was magical! This place is very tranquil with the most beautiful views of the jungle and mountains. We were the only guests when we arrived and the stuff took a lot of care of us. They even helped us to drive our tuk tuk down because the road to the hotel is very steep and bumpy.

This is a new place and the quality is first rate. Spacious rooms with an uninterupted view of the jungle. About 1km from the road along a rough track. We ate with the host and the food was delicious. Loads of colulorful birds to watch from the balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. There was also a TV but we didn't use it. At night it is really dark so bring a torch if you are wanting to walk out.

The place was clean, comfortable, and well located. The price was also very reasonable. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it to others

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation and truly felt at home! The place is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and recharging. The hosts, Lakmini and MG, are incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. My room was spacious and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Everything was spotless, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to everyone! :)

The Room & Views: Our room is a beautifully designed haven of comfort and style. It's proper and clean, with thoughtful amenities and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. And the view... wow! Waking up and looking out over the breathtaking landscape is a magical experience that a photo could never fully capture. The hotel's name, "Ahas Gawwa" (The Horizon), is perfectly fitting. You truly feel like you're floating above the world. Ambiance & Atmosphere: The entire property exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The architecture blends beautifully with the stunning natural surroundings, creating an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply relaxing. The Food: Every meal has been a culinary delight! The chefs are clearly passionate about what they do, using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. We've enjoyed a fantastic array of both local Sri Lankan flavours and international cuisine. Overall: We cannot recommend Ahas Gawwa highly enough. Our 3-night stay has been a dream, and our only regret is that we will eventually have to leave.
