Really nice room located next to the beaches. Very good breakfast in quantity! And the staff are really nice and helpful. They took us for a boat trip to see the mangroves and to see what there is to see around. And show us the gems from Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. Thanks Dinesh and Tatta and whole family for a wonderful stay!

Villa 42 is, in short a hidden gem. For anyone looking for comfort, privacy and wonderful hospitality they won't get any better than this lovely villa just half a mile or so from gorgeous (mostly empty) beaches and several decent restaurants (ask Siri for recommendations). Siri will provide his pampered guests with the best of breakfasts adapting tp personal taste (Sri Lankan style or to more western taste). Siri's well maintained swimming pool will be your refreshing reward after a few hours of Sri Lankan heat.

This is just the place if you are looking for a beautiful simple accommodation that is directly in nature with ocean. Ramesh and his mother are helpful with everything and make you feel like you are part of their wonderful family. They help you organise your trip and show a full effort to make your stay perfect. The breakfast is amazing, you get a huge portion of fruit, tea coffee, eggs and toast with Sri Lankan rice & curry. The property is in a great location, close enough to the beach. You are surrounded by nature and can see monkeys, squirrels and birds. There are great cafes and restaurants in the area. The family is so lovely and hospitable that you can't help but extend it all the time. They invited us to join traditional family celebrations which allowed a unique insight into the culture. The price is more than justified and I will certainly return to Villa 826 ahungalla on my next stay.

Our stay at Abu Bay was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. What truly sets this hotel apart is its stunning location. Surrounded by a private beach cove! Waking up to breathtaking views of the ocean was an absolute treat. Our stay will be truly memorable!

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful rooms with sea views, great breakfast and very friendly staff (especially Sahan who went above and beyond). A real hidden gem that I would definitely return to! I would also recommend visiting the near by turtle sanctuary.
