If you're looking for place that is a bit tucked in with good privacy but yet close enough to town, this is the place for you. The restaurant has great views of the mountain. The surroundings are quiet, sipping a coffee in the open patio is a super relaxing experience. Staff are friendly and attentive, food is very well prepared and generous, onsen is great. The photos don't do this place justice. You can't go wrong booking this place.

A really good location that's near to station and to lots of shops. There is also a dedicated parking spot for each room booked as of writing. Also met a wonderful boss lady manning a small bar, I really recommend going there if you want some reasonably priced good food. Name of the restaurant is "呑み処ふみ". The price as of writing is reasonable enough for such a big and clean apartment.

This is THE best place in Yufuin. It was really easy to check in. Yes it's a bit further away from the city centre which makes it a bit more difficult to get to if you don't have a car (you can walk it or take a taxi up there) but it has the most epic view of the mountain. There are two onsens that everyone at the hotel can use, but they are effectively private as once you are in them you lock the door and you can have them to yourselves. The water is fantastic. Refreshing and makes you feel very relaxed. I would stay here at the drop of a hat again. Also make sure you walk up to Oogosha shrine (only 5 mins away) where you can get the experience of visiting a HUGE cedar tree temple and a bamboo forest that is 10x better than Arashiyama.
