Host was ready to welcome us when we arrived. He was very nice and recommended us to a great restaurant in the town as well as informed us about onsen opening hours and more. We were also offered tea, some local sweets, and a cup of coffee in the morning. The accommodation was clean and comfy, with kotatsu in the room. You can also enjoy sleeping in futon on traditional tatami floor. Overall great accommodation, highly recommended.

A very warm welcome including valet parking. We stayed in a Japanese style room that was prepared for the night during dinner. We were blown away by the dedication and enthusiasm of explaining the intricacies of the Japanese culture by the staff. This continued throughout the high end Kaiseki multi-course dinner. Even the owner showed up to welcome us and present us with a gift. We also enjoyed the onsen. Thank you to all, we will never forget our stay here.

The rooms were large and yet cosy with Japanese tatami floors and a sunken dining table. Japanese dinner and breakfast was beautifully served (sorry, no choice of a menu) and yummy. Car was arranged to pick us up prior to arrival and drop off at train station. Bicycle rentals available if you want to enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Its a tranditional Japanese house - same as I saw on TVs. So it is a bit old and historical, but it is very interesting and immersed experiences. The landlord is very kind and he also gave us home grown and baked 🍠🍠sweet potato. A very heartwarming moment in a freezing❄️❄️ winter. 😄💕💕
