The landscape was peaceful and the building was beautiful. The room had a heat pump installed so while it was below freezing overnight we were comfortable and cozy. The hostess is amazingly friendly and kind and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend staying for anyone who wants to experience the countryside life.

The house is beautiful, the host is very kind and considerate and the breakfast was amazing (and very filling, don’t snack too much the night before).

I stayed here with friends, and the small garden was beautiful, the house was clean comfortable, and full equipped. It was also close to Hasedera Temple, and easy to assess Muro-temple ,Omiwa shrine,so we really enjoyed Nara.

The hosts were wonderful. We are very thankful to them for letting us store our luggage after our checkout for a couple of hours and they offered to drop us to the bus station aswelll. They are very kind. They have two goats aswell called ponyo and peo.

A wonderful place with amazing hosts. They cared for me like a member of their own family—kind, helpful, and attentive. The house and garden were beautiful, set in a quiet countryside village far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The atmosphere was peaceful and truly special. Staying there was a beautiful experience and a glimpse of Japan you won’t find in big cities.

Our stay at the Houtouji temple was one of the highlights of our trip! The loving family made our stay very special. They went out of their way to pick us up from the train station, prepared delicious (vegetarian!) dinner and breakfast, and taught us more about buddhism. We could even attend the afternoon (16:00) and morning (6.00) ceremonies. There is a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and they have several animals (donkey, goats, cat) making it a lovely stay. We want to thank you very much for our stay and would highly recommend to anyone planning to go to Yoshino!
