I found the location pretty accessible. Easy to reach, just 3-5 mins walk from the train station. The staff couldn’t really speak much English but not an issue, just use Google translate. The room did not have air conditioning, but I didn't find it too much an issue as I went during the cool period. Room was pretty comfy. Meals were buffet style. Great tasting food in my opinion. Very wide spread of foods to choose from. No private onsen. The hotel changes the schedule of the bathing times such that everyone can try out the different onsens available in the hotel. Quite fun to try out the different onsens available. There were table tennis tables and rackets and balls available, game machines, and tons of Japanese language manga. Didn't see a single person there though. Had the whole place to myself. Would come back ur I have the chance

There is an English menu. Hotel is within walking distance of the JR station, but there are also taxis queuing when a train arrives. Close to attractions in Matsushima Bay. Hotel has a fleet of bicycles and e-bikes for reservation.
