We were blown away by the facilities. The sauna was fab. The speaker system even better! We were so comfortable in the jinbei. Honestly can’t think of a place that e we have enjoyed more.

The location is great, it’s very close to the train station. When I checked in, the staff were super friendly and gave clear instructions. They provide towels, toothbrushes and pajamas, so I don’t need to bring many items with me. They also offer free tea and coffee. The lobby is comfy, and the first floor has a comic book area! The bed has a curtain, giving me privacy. And of course the bed is comfortable. The shower room is nice and has everything I need. Surprisingly they even have facial care products! Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would love to stay there again when I visit next time!!

Great little onsen ryokan. Very nice lounge and they provide yukatas. Staff was exceptional, there was an elderly man who was manning the counter at night and he does samisen and Japanese folk performances every now and then. Was blessed to have witnessed a short performance by him. Would definitely recommend. Hots springs were excellent. Not too hot and perfect to soak in after a long day. Stayed in the super single room which was basically just a bed and some space. Was perfect as I didn't carry much luggage, but for those who have large trolley bags this is not the room for you.

The very friendly staff and clean and spacious house with pretty lakeview. In the morning breakfast was delivered to the house at a time you could specify upon checkin. Also the pushkart in the house to transfer your luggage from the car parking was a nice addition. Very well equiped kitchen.

Breakfast was wonderful , also dinner at The Willows , prepared by James was magnificent! World class food and a fabulously entertaining and thoughtful host. We felt totally spoilt at Ohashikan Junko and James couldn’t do enough for us and they made us feel like we were their only guests. We hope to come back one day!

Great location, short walk to the station, castle, and situated near the river with nice views. Amazing food and drink locations nearby. Very clean room, relaxing sauna and very nice bathroom facilities, free tea and tea set for a little tea ceremony, comfortable bedding (traditional futon). Beautifully presented and exceptional value for money. What a fun experience.

Great location - directly across from the bus station. New and very clean. Staff were helpful and called a taxi for me. I dropped my bags off early and the staff took my bags up to my room for me. Room was a good size for one person.
