When looking at the exterior of the building I didn't expect the room inside to be this nice. The room was spacious, very well equipped with everything you need and everything being very high-end quality. It was very clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The location was also a bonus, with supermarket right opposite.

The Barn is located near the village of Vík between the Mýrdalsjölill Glacier and the southern coast of Iceland. This hostel provides free WiFi and complimentary parking on site.

Absolutely amazing. Rooms are very nice, the kitchen is big and shared by the clients giving a nice familiar atmosphere. Bathrooms were impeccable and very clean. This guesthouse was on our way to Vik, and it was the cleanest place we stayed at during our 7-day road trip. The staff was very helpful, and both the breakfast and dinner were amazing — there were plenty of options for everyone. A big plus was that we could walk around the property and see horses. And if you’re lucky, you might even see the Aurora from this place!

For us this is the best place to stay in Vík. We have been here 3 times and we definitely plan to come back. The owner is soooo nice, the rooms are cosy, the decorations are cute, everything is clean, the kitchen is well equiped and the waffles with homemade jam are sooo good. Also the location is great. Everything we needed was provided—coffee machine, kettle, towels, shower gel, shampoo, cotton pads, and more, which made our stay incredibly convenient and comfortable.
