We were astounded by this Hotel which is literally in the middle of nowhere, lovely view of the mountains and lake. The room was great, it's an old hotel so the older type of furniture was in keeping. I asked for a separate shower, not one over the bath, and got that. The breakfast was first class as were the dinners that we had there. Lovely bar area and lounge. It is certainly a hotel we will visit again in the near future.

Great location, clean, great facilities. We had an apartment and a double room as we were on a group trip and both were amazing! Staff are really friendly and helpful.

The internal decoration is very nice - since it's located on a farm, you may see some sheep around the hut :-) - you have everything essential to prepare meals, oil, salt, suger, cooking facilities.. - a heater and a fan were provided for hot and cold weather - there is large space under the bed to store bagpacks

Lovely and peaceful setting. Beautiful view of the night sky, sunset and sunrise (weather dependant). Close enough to Westport without being in the thick of it all. Maria elevates this little home from home with her personal touches, who knew how entertaining leaving us Connect4 could be. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm back this way and I plan to come back very soon. Also...most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!

We had our best family holiday, the cottage had everything we needed. It was charming and cosy, set in the beautiful Irish countryside. The location was great because it was a perfect starting point to tour around Conemmara. Everything was clean and well kept. We enjoyed the personal touches like the fire lit on our arrival, cookies and freshly cut flowers. Thank you for everything! We already want to come back.

We had a lovely stay at castlehouse b&b ! The authenticity of the place is refreshing as well as the kindness of the host, John, who gave us many helpful advice on local places. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking to have a nice and authentic stay in Connemara ! And big plus for the really nice view from the bedroom on the countryside and sea !

Location - the stretch of road between drummin and lekavaney was the most mayo road in mayo! You are surrounded by mountains, however this did not affect phone reception, WiFi is great in the cottage aswel!
