The room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback for such an excellent location was the lack of view (velux type roof windows.) The breakfast and lunches we had there were excellent and good value. The staff excelled and we're so welcoming. We look forward to staying again.

From the moment we checked in we knew we were in for a treat. I was traveling with 2 other friends and had booked a room for 3, figuring we’d be drawing straws on who gets the single bed. To our delighted surprise, the spacious room was set up with 3 very comfortable twin beds. Can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. Sorry to leave

Was passing through kenmare on friday 08th of sep 2023, and I said I'd look up accommodation just to see was there something within budget, and was delighted to see Failte Hostel open again as I hadn't being in kenmare for about three years. As I just flow with life now, and the price for three night so reasonable, I decided to book in for three nights. Lovely family run hostel and welcomed with a smile, stayed in sparkling clean 8 bed mixed dorm, spacious shared shower and bathroom facilities with were spotless, with beautiful warm running at all times of the day. Perfect Location just at the top of Hendry Street, If your like me and your looking for somewhere to just lay your head and shower as you go on your adventures around Kerry and West Cork your in an ideal location as a base. Hope this hostel gets all the support it deserves to continue trading in these times we're in, As a hostel is of huge importance in this central location for access to travelling around Kerry & West Cork. We and our dog Martha had a wonderful stay at Teach Ards. Shani welcomed us in such a friendly way and showed us the house and its functionalities. The house is beautifully decorated, has 5 bedrooms and everything we needed. The views and surroundings are just breathtaking. The single-track road to the house is typically for Ireland’s country side - challenging at first but you get used to it quickly. Shani left us bread, cookies, butter and milk behind, which we appreciated a lot but unfortunately couldn’t accept (except the bread) as we don’t consume animal products. We hope to be back again!

Very modern hostel in a great location! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The self check in was no problem at all. I was even able to borrow a towel because I forgot mine. I'd highly recommend staying here if you want to explore west cork.
