Knockree Hostel is an amazing and friendly place!! The facilities were very clean, the room was warm, and the shared spaces very comfortable and welcoming!! The staff were very helpful and friendly too. It’s a very nice place to stay at, in the middle of the countryside, with a wonderful view on the sunrise above the mountains in the morning! The location is also perfect to join the Wicklow Way, only a 10 min walk. Thank you Knockree Hostel!!

This is a very modern hotel with a super location, all main sights were at maximum 20 minutes of walking time. We booked a loft room because we wanted a nice view on the city (it was really nice). The room was super clean and the bed was extra comfortable. The check in was super fast (there is no more automatic check-in system as indicated in some previous comments). The breakfast is of high-quality and rich. In the restaurant you have a wide range of drinks and excellent food. In the corridors you have a room where you can prepare unlimited amount of coffee and tea. The staff is super friendly and extra helpful. Here, I would like to emphasise one thing. Unfortunately, we got after the 2nd day problematic neighbours who couldn't behave normally at 3 a.m. We went to the reception to ask for a solution. They came up immediately, informed the neighbours that such noise making is not allowed and asked them politely to stop it. The receptionist and his colleague went away and unfortunately the behaviour of the neighbours didn't improve too much. We didn't have to signal this again because the 2 guys from the reception came up again to check whether the noisemaking was really stopped. When they saw that no, they again knocked on their door and asked them again to stop which reached the aim and there was silence afterwards. We are really THANKFUL, and we must emphasise that even in fancy 5 star hotels we didn't get such kind of attention. Unfortunately, after the noisemakers checked out, we got another bunch of guys in the neighbouring room who couldn't behave. When we signalled this issue, they immediately looked for the most silent room in the building, so we could move. Of course, you cannot filter the problematic guests in a hotel, but the way the staff handled the issues was impeccable.
