This is the place, when you got back from wherever you where before in Costa Rica to just calm down and have a very good night sleep. The beds are comfy, the rooms, showers, toilets are clean (btw the soap in the toilets smells amazing). The area surrounding is barrio escalante, there you can stroll around, enjoy a really good Coffee (cafeoteca is beyond), have great food and Just enjoy your stay in San jose.

The view from the rooftop was amazing. The apartment was very clean, cosy and comfortable. It was well stocked with all required amenities/equipment. We were very sad that we stayed here only for a short night because we didn’t get to try the pool/other amenities but everything looked great.

Calm, laid back family run place in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to barrio Escalante and city center.. wifi was good, breakfast was awesome, First time I've experienced dorm beds getting made everyday with clean bedsheets and towel! The garden area was a nice place to chill. The family was very humble and welcoming.. will definitely stay again.

Nativus is probably the most comfortable hostel I have ever stayed. It has great facilities like an outdoor terrace, a yoga room, a large kitchen, and a lounge area. Located in a quite residential area, yet very close to the commercial center. It can be a great place for long stays for digital nomads as well. Can`t forget to mention that Anna was a great host, She was very kind and helpful.

the owner was so very kind and welcoming . We had arrived early and she let us have the room very early and on our day of departure we had a problem with our transport so she allowed us to keep our bags there and then let us come back and wait at the hotel even after 2 pm . exceptional

I came to San Jose for my prenatal appointment at CIMA Hospital and stayed at Ester's. It was walking distance from the hospital- even for a 7 months pregnant woman. Communication with the property was very fast. Ester was a saint and helped me book an English speaking taxi driver for my early morning departure. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. If you are traveling for medical tourism or want to stay in Escazu, you can't beat this location.
