Super comfortable location, Monica was great in taking care of everyone. Breakfast is amazing with a wide choice of salty and sweet, fresh bread every day. The atmosphere is very familiar. Just 2 minutes from the train station - great if you stay here to hike around. But also, 7min walking distance to the city center. Lovely stay, very quite despite the closeness to the train station (you don't hear a thing). Comfy bed while the pillow is the classic huge and structureless that hotels love so much.

The common use of the large kitchen, living room and patio was great, we shared with a large family who occupied multiple rooms, and everyone was friendly and respectful. The owner(Robert) came to pick us up from the train station and he is very friendly. Hotel is near to the Appenzell train station(600m) We got an early check-in and late check-out. Delicious breakfast buffet. Spacious bathroom with a bath tub. Large balcony with a beatifull city view.
