The location was superb, and the scenery was absolutely magnificent. The Owner and Staff were amazing and made us feel at home immediately. The breakfast was a great start to the day and perfectly located to visit Grindelwald, Interlaken, Zurich, Bern, and Luzern. Highly recommended to anyone with travel plans in that area.

This place was delightful in every way. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by the host and one of her five children. We were shown around our room and to the kitchen, which we were free to use. The room was beautifully set up, with lovely touches including a jug of drinking water on the table, and some individually wrapped cookies, which were vegan (a bonus for us, as usually we can't eat any chocolates or cookies). A little later, the host came to see us again with another of her children, to collect our payment. Again, their interaction with us was extremely warm and friendly. The room had a wonderful wall-length heater, which kept it warm, and a really nice combination of lighting, including a standing lamp with a dimmable bulb, and bedside lights. The bathroom was immaculate. The shower screen was so clean that it looked brand new - it had no streaks or water/soap marks on it, and the towels were folded to perfection. We spent two nights here but could have stayed longer due to how lovely it was. On the morning of our departure, the host came to see us to make sure we said goodbye when we left. She was so friendly and lovely. I cannot fault this place at all; it easily deserves a 10 out of 10.

The hotel is located in the quiet charming village of Emmetten. Our room was large, quiet & dark at night and light & bright by day. The bed was very comfortable ensuring we had great sleep. The decor is clean & neat. We had a good view of the mountain from our window. Reception staff were friendly & check in & out was efficient. We enjoyed a nice three course meal in the restaurant and a walk up through the village to take in the views of the sun setting over the lake. This hotel is within a two minute walk to a cable car & the village grocery shop.

The property was in a stunning location and (while dated, which is in a way part of its charm) it had everything we needed including good internet so we could work for a few days while there. It is right at the railway to Trieb and a nice walk to the Rütli so you can connect to the ferry around the lake easily. Also near a swimming lake and other walks and cable cars. Private parking and other amenities also ideal.

Beautiful location with a wonderful view. Everyone was very friendly and above all nice, the room and the whole interior of the hotel very well taken care of down to the smallest detail, the room was very clean and smelled delicious. If I get the chance I will definitely stay there again. Thank you for your helpfulness and understanding.
