Nino is the perfect host, from the moment you walk in the door he makes you feel right at home. The property is beautiful, bed very comfortable, spacious bathroom. The breakfasts OMG the best, he makes everything from scratch and each day was better than the other. I am glad I didn’t have a car so I could walk it off. It was worth it. Will be back very soon!!

Comfy bed (king sized), check. Good wifi, check. Good-sized bathtub, check (even had a bar to help older folk get in -- which my bum knee appreciated). Clean, check. Loved the rustic aesthetic of the place. But it's the extras that really pushed the Farmhouse Inn into exceptional territory. The breakfast was fantabulous! We had what they called a "fritata" (I thought they had to have potatoes baked with the eggs, but here, eggs on the side). Super tasty. A really nice TV, not a cheap one. And a white noise machine -- a really good one. I'm a light sleeper, so I appreciated that. In fact, I ordered one because I slept the best I have in months. AND they have animals: peafowl, chickens, horses, a wild-looking goat, a friendly and fuzzy white dog. AND there are nature trails for you to walk about on the Hundred Acre Farm. This would be a great place to take kids for the weekend. Or a great getaway for a romantic weekend. But here's the kicker: we stayed there for the same price the soulless corporate hotels charge. True, it's further from downtown Madison and the highway, but this was soooooo worth the trip. I'd never heard of farmstays; I guess it's the American version of the Italian agroturismo. So glad we have places like this. Please stay there and keep these fine folks in business.

It's location was great. The townhouse was lovely. On a quiet street, yet near everything. Would rent again.

An experience of Southern hospitality that as an Irish person I loved. House,room,bed,linens,towels and lighting all part of the experience. Owners lovely to talk too and made sure they introduced themselves. Evening cheese and wine fab. Lady who worked there in the afternoons was so welcoming, nothing was a chore to ner, she is a credit to the business. Brekkie gorgeous. Can't give a good enough review, I was very impressed and am well travelled in good hotels.

It is eclectic and humorous. One of a kind thanks to Marjda. Breakfasts are amazing and set you up for the day. The verandahs are perfect to enjoy the wine and snacks Marjda also provides. It was our wedding anniversary so the room was perfect for our 1 night stay. Lovely big room and appreciated the spa bath. .So very relaxing. A great balcony with a wonderful view over Helen. An easy walk into Helen. Breakfast was amazing in the lovely dining room of the property and the cook was so welcoming and happy to help.So well catered for in every way. Snacks and drinks and bags of ice available from the kitchen up to 9pm to take away. Very peaceful and relaxing to stay. The gentleman who owns the property was just so helpful with information of things to do in and around Helen.Staff were wonderful.
