It was a great getaway to nature (like loud frog croaks into the night) for which I’m glad there was a mosquito net over the queen-sized bed on the 1st floor (but there isn’t one on the 2nd, and the bed is considerably thinner and smaller though it might be possible to fit 2 people). If you’re looking for the full-blown mountain experience, this might not be the ideal spot since you can only glimpse it (though you’ll definitely see the mountains as you drive out to explore), but if you’re looking for an idyllic retreat to the countryside, it’s a great reasonably-priced option. It is run by a friendly couple who can do pickups (Thb100 per ride to and fro the city, which is a fair estimate when compared to prices on the Grab app). They also did a half-day tour for me (I visited Hin Khao Ngu park, Wat Tham Nam and Wat Khao Chong Phran to see bats) for THB500. There is also an excitable puppy called Som Tam (aka papaya salad in Thai).
